Springville Children Learned About Metamorphosis!

On Wednesday, June 25th at 2:30 PM, 27 children and 7 adults were entertained by Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar and action-packed Herman the Worm. We all discovered that change can be good! The kids made hanging butterflies for craft. They munched out on "worm-garden pudding and drank "bug juice. We really did "catch the reading bug"!

Program #3: The Good, the Bad and the Bugly will take place on Wednesday, July 2nd at 2:30 PM. After hearing Eric Carle's The Grouchy Ladybug, the "good" ladybug will be elected sheriff and we will all be deputized to hunt down the bad villain bugs. We will also honor our nation's up-and-coming birthday! We will be making a ladybug hand puppet and earning prizes for our reading accomplishments. So, hope to see you there "pardners"!

Springville kids enjoyed the backyard safari at our first program.

19 children and 6 adults attended the June 18th kick-off program at 2:30 this afternoon. Insect facts and books were presented and all went on a "bug-hunt". Sam's Sandwich grossed us all out and The Wide-Mouth Frog entertained as well. We had a snack and made a bee journal.

On June 25th Springville kids and parents will be learning about metamorphosis and how "change can be good". If you like worms and butterflies, come and join in the fun! You'll meet Herman-the-Worm, read and join in on flannel story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Butterfly Garden. You'll also sing and dance to THE BUG'S LIFE, I Just Want to Fly!
We'll be making a hanging doll-pin butterfly for craft. And we will be eating :"worm-garden pudding" and drinking "bug juice". If you not careful, you'll even CATCH THE READING BUG! Bet you can't stay away!
