19 children and 6 adults attended the June 18th kick-off program at 2:30 this afternoon. Insect facts and books were presented and all went on a "bug-hunt". Sam's Sandwich grossed us all out and The Wide-Mouth Frog entertained as well. We had a snack and made a bee journal.On June 25th Springville kids and parents will be learning about metamorphosis and how "change can be good". If you like worms and butterflies, come and join in the fun! You'll meet Herman-the-Worm, read and join in on flannel story, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and The Butterfly Garden. You'll also sing and dance to THE BUG'S LIFE, I Just Want to Fly!
We'll be making a hanging doll-pin butterfly for craft. And we will be eating :"worm-garden pudding" and drinking "bug juice". If you not careful, you'll even CATCH THE READING BUG! Bet you can't stay away!
